Vitamin C is an anti-free radical treatment to prevent aging, tone and moisturize skin, and treat des pigmentation and stretch marks.

It acts as a cofactor in several hydroxylation and amidation reactions, transferring electrons to enzymes that provide reducing equivalents. It participates in the synthesis of Carnitine, producing the oxidation of lysine side chains at the level of proteins for the formation of hydroxy trimethyl lysine.

Of the main functions is the one related to the synthesis of Collagen from its action on proline and hydroxyproline and the stimulation of the fibroblasts, proteoglycans, and other constituents of the MEC at the tissue level of the tissues.

In addition, it decreases the adhesion of the corneocytes, facilitating dermo-epidermal hydration. It has a potent antioxidant action, which reduces the free radicals that cause photoaging. It has a protective anti-UVA and anti-UB action and atoning action as it stimulates fibroblasts.
